BRITISH RED CROSS
British Red Cross First Aid training which was arranged by William Nonge. The aim of this session was to deliver First-Aid training in the community in their own languages,

MONEY ADVICE
TARA money advice project is driven by the desire to help people whose lives are being overturned by debt and money problems. Most of the services are African refugees and asylum seekers who are low on income and have got language barriers to overcome, live in isolation. They find it difficult to manage their everyday lifestyle.

International women's day

 

The international Women’s Day celebration was organized by TARA on the 26 March 2011 and the event was took place in Ashton Town  Hall .The event was to highlight the flight of women in Africa especially in countries like democratic Republic of Congo ,Sudan western Darfur region and in Ivory cost were the are being raped by the armed groups in those countries.

 

The occasion was meant to bring to the attention to the world and peace loving people, especially in UK to help those voiceless women by exerting pressure on those respective governments to bring those responsible to accounts for their deeds. The second aim of the occasion was also to bring community cohesion between indigenous ion people and black minority ethnic groups in Tameside Borough and Manchester in general. The occasion was attended by more than 204 people and 15 partner organisation and after evaluation everybody was happy and ask TARA to organise the same activity next year.
