MONEY ADVICE
TARA money advice project is driven by the desire to help people whose lives are being overturned by debt and money problems. Most of the services are African refugees and asylum seekers who are low on income and have got language barriers to overcome, live in isolation. They find it difficult to manage their everyday lifestyle.
Tameside Cultural Event
TARA in collaboration with Tameside College and Tameside third sector collision organised a festival to celebrate the different cultures which co-exist in Tameside Borough. The occasion took place October 2010 in Tameside college. It was a wonderful experience because many people turned up for the occasion and lot of foods from different countries were cooked. During the occasion. TARA members performed African music and we also displayed paintings from Africa.
